Leaving Zühlke - IT Offboarding Guidelines
Introduction
As you prepare to leave Zühlke, it is important to complete the necessary IT offboarding steps. While you will be in contact with People & Culture (P&C) for the entire offboarding process, there is a part that involves the IT Service Desk, specifically related to the returning of company-issued devices.
In this article, you will find the best practices to follow before leaving the company:
- Return all company-issued devices
- Unenrol personal devices from WorkspaceOne
- Transfer or suspend any Zühlke-provided mobile contracts
1. Return Notebook
As soon as you have confirmed your last working day, open a "Buy or Return a Notebook" Service Request ticket here in order to schedule the return of your notebook. Select your device, and choose the option "Return to IT".
2. Return Company Issued Mobile Phone
If applicable, please ensure that you return as well your company-issued mobile phone before your last working day.
Mobile phones can be easily wiped before being returned:
⚠️Before you return an iPhone you need to deactivate any activation lock. To do so please follow the steps in the article below:
- Android: On most phones, you can reset your phone through the Settings app. We recommend checking your manufacturer's support site for device-specific instructions.
3. Offboarding Checklist
People & Culture will provide you with an Offboarding Checklist that needs to be signed by the IT Service Desk once all company-issued devices are returned.
This step is important for ensuring a smooth transition and completing your exit process.
4. Unenrol personal devices from WorkspaceOne
If your personal phone or tablet is enrolled in WorkspaceOne, follow these steps to remove the corporate profile and apps:
5. Mobile Contract Transfer or Suspension
If you have a Zühlke-provided mobile phone plan, you are responsible for ensuring the contract is properly transferred or suspended before your departure.
Conditions may vary from country to country, please check here the guidelines for each country: Mobile Services.
